The 13th China Semiconductor Equipment and Core Components and Materials Exhibition was grandly held from September 4 to 6 at the Taihu International Expo Center in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.
The exhibition brought together experts, scholars, business leaders, and industry elites from 22 countries and regions, with an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, setting a record high for previous editions.
With the theme "Strengthening China's Chip Industry, Embracing the Chip World," this year's exhibition comprehensively displayed the latest R&D achievements and innovative progress in key semiconductor equipment, supporting equipment, core components, and critical materials.
Among the numerous exhibits, high-performance plastic piping systems, as indispensable foundational materials in semiconductor manufacturing, attracted significant attention. PPH , PVDF, and PFA pipes and fittings play vital roles in the semiconductor manufacturing process, providing a continuous "bloodline" support for the strength of "China's chips."
At the CSEAC 2025 exhibition, every segment of the semiconductor equipment and materials industry chain was comprehensively displayed. Leading domestic companies such as AMEC, NAURA, Piotech, and SingKai, as well as international giants like Applied Materials (USA), Tokyo Electron (Japan), and Infineon (Germany), gathered in Wuxi.
For the first time, the exhibition planned a talent zone and industry-education integration series of activities. Thirty universities brought cutting-edge scientific research, and 100 exhibiting units released over a thousand job positions, attracting hundreds of university students and job seekers to participate.
This grand event not only showcased the high-end equipment of the semiconductor industry but also highlighted the importance of foundational materials and components. Among them, high-performance plastic piping systems, as the "blood vessels" of semiconductor manufacturing, although not directly involved in chip design and manufacturing, are critical infrastructure ensuring the reliable operation of the entire production process.
PPH pipes are primarily used in scenarios requiring high purity in the semiconductor industry. They offer excellent chemical corrosion resistance, effectively withstanding the erosion of various chemical reagents and solvents used in semiconductor production processes.
PPH pipes have smooth inner walls and low fluid resistance, reducing scaling. This characteristic helps improve transport efficiency while minimizing impurity deposition, ensuring a clean production environment. In the semiconductor industry, water purity is crucial for product quality. PPH pipes do not react with water quality and do not release harmful substances, thereby maintaining water purity.
PPH piping systems serve as an economical solution for high-purity water transport systems in mid-range chip manufacturing and other electronic product production, continuously delivering various pure materials for the normal operation of chip factories. These materials are vital for the quality and performance of semiconductor products.
PVDF pipes are high-performance plastic pipes made from polyvinylidene fluoride raw material. With core characteristics such as chemical corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, aging resistance, high mechanical strength, and good insulation, they are widely used in the semiconductor industry.
In the electronics and semiconductor industry, PVDF pipes are used to transport high-purity etching solutions and cleaning agents. Their smooth inner walls and low dust adsorption meet the cleanliness standards of the electronics industry.
PVDF pipes also possess excellent insulation properties, stably ensuring ultrapure water resistivity exceeding 18MΩ·cm, making them an ideal choice for semiconductor ultrapure water supply systems.
Cobetter's extruPro series PVDF pipe valves are typical representatives, with products successfully passing third-party SemiF57 tests and cleanliness grades meeting semiconductor industry standards.
PFA pipes, with their chemical inertness and high-temperature resistance (-80°C to 260°C), have become a key material in semiconductor chip manufacturing.
In wafer processing, PFA pipes are used to transport highly corrosive etchants like hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid. Their smooth inner walls reduce particle release by 99.99%, meeting the ultra-clean requirements for processes below 14 nanometers.
In photoresist development processes, the high purity of PFA pipes (metal ion content <1ppb) ensures the precision of photolithographic patterns, supporting the mass production of 5G chips.
PFA spring pipes also have special applications in the semiconductor industry. Their corrugated structure design, inner wall roughness Ra value less than 0.05μm, and metal ion dissolution below 0.1ppb ensure ultrapure water quality with a resistivity requirement of 18.2MΩ·cm.
During CSEAC 2025, 20 specialized forums were held, closely addressing industry hot topics and delving into key issues such as advanced manufacturing, advanced materials, advanced packaging, and smart sensing.
Two chairman forums were highly popular, bringing together over 50 IC enterprise leaders, providing valuable solutions and insights for the industry.
This year, the exhibition introduced the "Fengmi IC Elite Lectures," focusing on three core semiconductor tracks: AI computing clusters, advanced packaging testing, and thermal management materials. These forums and exchange opportunities provided piping and fitting manufacturers with valuable insights into industry needs and technological trends.
With the continuous development of semiconductor technology, the performance requirements for pipes and fittings are increasingly higher. As indispensable foundational materials in semiconductor manufacturing, PPH, PVDF, and PFA pipes and fittings are experiencing growing market demand.
In the semiconductor manufacturing process, these high-performance plastic piping systems are widely used in ultrapure water preparation systems, chemical liquid delivery systems, gas delivery systems, and wastewater treatment systems, among other areas.
With the rapid development of China's semiconductor industry and the acceleration of domestic substitution, huge opportunities have emerged for domestic pipe and fitting manufacturers. This year's exhibition deeply focused on building an integrated circuit industry talent ecosystem, reflecting the industry's emphasis on talent cultivation and supply chain integrity.
CSEAC 2025 witnessed global semiconductor industry chain cooperation and innovation.
Domestic and international experts discussed cutting-edge topics such as third-generation semiconductors and advanced packaging, confirming that "open cooperation" is the only way to break through technological barriers and achieve win-win outcomes.
Just as depicted in the AI film about China's chips premiered at the exhibition—China's semiconductor equipment industry is undergoing a journey of struggle from nothing to something, from weak to strong.
